What does Refurbished mean?

At CRS, our computers are generally ex lease/corporate machines that have had all previous data removed. Each computer is cleaned inside and out. All its parts are fully checked and replaced where necessary. Each computer is re-installed with original software, and upgraded before sale. CRS computers may have signs of cosmetic wear, but they will always be in full working order. In fact, we're so confident in our machines that we offer a one-year warranty.

 

Why buy from CRS?

Having been in the industry for more than 30 years, we know our business inside out. Out of the 13 Microsoft Authorised Refurbishers in the UK, we are one of the top three. At CRS, we comply fully with the WEEE directive, and offer a fast and efficient service. Most importantly we offer a one-year warranty on all our machines.

 

What's in the box?

If you order a base unit by its self, only the machine is included in your order. Power cables and keyboards and mice are available to purchase in addition to the machine. If you order a computer with a monitor we include the power cables, keyboard, mouse and VGA cables. Laptops and iPads come complete with a charger.

 

What software is installed on the machine?

We install the operating system that is listed in the description of the item. In addition to this we install the following on all home systems:

  • OpenOffice
  • Winrar
  • VLC player
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Google Chrome
  • Adobe Flash Player
  • Adobe Reader
  • Microsoft Security Essentials

If you require Microsoft office this is available to order separately through the website. We may also be able to provide any additional software you may require. Please feel free to contact us on 01908 656 700 to discuss further.

 

When will I receive my item?

We take up to 48 hours to process the order and then use a 24-hour courier to dispatch your item. (UK mainland only, highlands and islands take an additional 1-2 working days). You will receive tracking information when we dispatch your PC so you can receive any delivery updates. At busy times of the year such as Christmas we may take an additional day to process your order, as we want to ensure we give each computer the time and attention needed to meet your expectations.

 

Can I collect my item?

Yes you're welcome to collect your item but please bear in mind that we don't have items on the shelf ready to sell and we need some advanced notice of your arrival. It's best to call us on 01908 656 700 to place the order and arrange a time for collection.
